He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Manuel Sousa and Maria Natalia Sousa (Lima); his son Marco R. Sousa, Jr.; his brothers, Victor Sousa and Paul Sousa; his nieces and nephews, Sofia, Marina, Muhammad and Yusuf Bibars; and his sister Carla Sousa-Finlay. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
