He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Deolinda Pimentel Pestana (Medeiros); his former wife Fernanda Maria Pestana (Camara); his parents, Joao Pestana and Rosa Pestana (DaMata); his children, Lucy Raposa (late Carlos) and Emanuel Pestana (Celina); and his grandchildren, Aliccia Matteson (Jonathan), Cheyenne Sampson, Justin Dupont, Amanda Pestana, Tara Pestana, Tabitha Pestana, Tamara Pestana and Destiny Pestana.
