He is survived by: his wife Joana Varela; and his children, Joze Varela (Romilda), Joe Varela (Michelle), Deolinda Lopez (Richard), Mena Varela, Antonio Varela (Nely), Rui Varela and Michael Varela (Kerry). He is also survived by his grand children and countless great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Keefe Funeral Home (5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI 02865). A Mass will be held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Assumption Church (47 S 6th St, New Bedford, MA 02740).
