We are sad to announce that on August 31, 2021, at the age of 99, Lidia Mello of New Bedford, Massachusetts passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lidia Mello to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Antonio Mello; her parents, Manuel Amaral and Odilia Amaral (Xavier); her son Edward Mello; and her brother José Amaral.

She is survived by: her children, Antonio Mello (Melanie) of New Bedford, Lubelia Lima (Antonio) of New Bedford and Luisa Medeiros (Ronald) of New Bedford; her daughter-in-law Cathy Mello of New Bedford; her daughter Maria C. Graustein; and her siblings, Dionisio Amaral and Inez Pinarretta. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452 or to Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, 230 Bonney St., New Bedford, MA 02740.
