He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel J. Linhares and Helen Linhares (Correira). He is survived by: his children, Kenneth S. Linhares, Jr. (Nicole Bessler) and Melissa Sullivan (Neil) of New Bedford; his siblings, Manuel J. Linhares III of Westport, Joseph Linhares of New Hampshire and Deborah Linhares of Maine; and his stepchildren, Bethany, Jacob and Autumn. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Due to elevated covid risks, masks are required while visiting in the funeral home.
