She was predeceased by: her husband Jose Rivera; her parents, Benito Rivera and Isabel Maria Matos; and her siblings, Benito Rivera, Rolando DeJesus, Milagros Matos Rivera, Isabel Rivera, Donna Rivera and Justina DeJesus.
She is survived by: her children, Rodney A. Rivera (Angela Silva) of New Bedford and Jasmine A. Carrasquillo; her grandson Rodney A. Rivera, Jr. of New Bedford; her great grandchildren, Roman Rivera and Xavier Rivera; and her brothers, Luis Alberto Rivera and Benjamin Rivera. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
