He is survived by: his wife Maria Madalena Teixeira (Medeiros) of New Bedford; his son John Teixeira of New Bedford; his sister Gina Furtado of California; and his grandchildren, Collin Teixeira and Selena Teixeira. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
