He was predeceased by: his parents, Josė Carvalho Furtado and Liduina Peixoto; and his sibling João Carlos Furtado. He is survived by: his wife Armanda Furtado (Coelho) of New Bedford; his sons, Pedro Furtado (Isabel) of So, Dartmouth, Helder Furtado (Sandra) of New Bedford and Steven Furtado of New Bedford; his sisters, Juvenalia Brum (Antonio) of So, Dartmouth and Nelia Carvalho (Alphonse) of Bristol; his grandchildren, Kyle Furtado, Tyler Furtado, Colin Furtado and Mia Furtado; and his nieces and nephews, Jason Carvalho, Cedric Brum, Matthew Brum, Jennifer Medina, Felicia Furtado, Mellyssa Brum and Taylor Furtado.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 7:45 AM to 9:00 AM at the Aubertine-Lopes Funeral Home & Cremation (129 Allen St, New Bedford, MA 02740). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (230 Bonney St, New Bedford, MA 02744).
