He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Quiteria Dilara Alves Ribeiro of Viana and Jose Amorim Gomes Parente; his son Alexandre José Marques Amorim of Viana; his siblings, Jorge Amorim of France, Paulo Amorim (Susan) of New Bedford and Teresa Silva (Paulo) of Viana; and his nieces and nephews, Susana Amorim, Stephanie Amorim, Renato Silva, Marissa Amorim, Soraia Amorim, Joca Amorim and Carolina Alves.
