John Z. Vertefeuille Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 15, 2025, at the age of 63, John Z. Vertefeuille of New Bedford, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint John leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John E. Vertefeuille and Maria Aguiar (Fortes); his wife Kathleen Vertefeuille (Polchlopek) of Dartmouth; his siblings, Michael Sherrington of Pennsylvania, Ricardo Romero of St. Augustine, Florida, Jacqueline Grajales of New Bedford and Phyllis "Pumpkin" Vertefeuille of Fall River; and his goddaughter Treena Grajales. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
