He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Moniz and Hilda Moniz; and his sister Janet Moniz of New Bedford. He is survived by: his wife Rosemarie Ann Moniz; his children, Joseph Glenwood Moniz (Rita) of Maryland, John Anthony Moniz (Rita) of New Bedford, Samantha Marie Green and Dawn Andrea Collard (Paul) of New Bedford; his sister Pauline Torentino (Jason) of Middleboro; his grandchildren, Kayleigh of New Bedford, Amanda Moniz of New Bedford, James Paul of New Bedford, Austin Collard of New Bedford, Kerianne Green of New Bedford, Tyler Jacob and Jenna Madison Moniz of Maryland; and his former wife Victoria Da Silva of New Bedford.
