John M. Duarte Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John M. Duarte of New Bedford, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 16, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Duarte and Mary Duarte (Pinto); his daughter Patricia A. Duarte; and his siblings, George Duarte, Benjamin Duarte, Albert Cosme, Louis Duarte and Adeline Andrade.
He is survived by: his son Allan J. Duarte (Irene) of New Bedford; his siblings, Manuel "Canooka" Duarte, Jr. of New Bedford, Antone "Toi" Duarte of New Bedford, Louise DeBarros of Springfield, MA and Rose Tavares of New Bedford; his grandchildren, Melinda, Kellie, Robert and Allan, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Katie, Matt, Taira, Maya and Eleanor. He is also survived by 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
