He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Sylvia (Boteho); his parents, John J. Sylvia and Mary Madeline Sylvia (Sylvia); and his sister Helen Conde. He is survived by: his children, Barbara Sylvia of New Bedford, Michael Sylvia (Scheryl) of New Bedford and Robert Sylvia (Shirley) of Carson, Washington; his grandson Michael John Sylvia (Kari Bonville) of New Bedford; and his great grandchildren, Leah Sylvia, Autumn Sylvia and Jocelyn Dupuis. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
