She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Walter Boyle, Sr. and Irmgard Boyle (Pfeiffer); and her sibling Daune Santos. She is survived by: her husband Richard M. Joia of New Bedford; her siblings, Brenda Costa of Freetown, Christine Boyle of East Freetown and Paul W. Boyle, Jr. of New Bedford; her brother-in-law Jeff Brunette; and her nieces and nephews, Michael Santos, Kristina Costa, Ashley Costa, Jace Boyle, Brandon Pimentel, Paul Boyle, III, Benjamin Brunette, Andrew Brunette, Tyler Brunette and Cole Brunette.
