It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilda J. Santos of New Bedford, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 15, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eduardo and Gloria Pavão (Andrade); her husband Norberto Santos; and her sibling Juvenal Pavão. She is survived by: her children, Joseph M. Santos (Nelia) of Fall River, Carlos A. Santos (Maribel) of Dartmouth, Isabel G. Pacheco (Manuel) of New Bedford and Luzia S. Marques (late Ventura); her sister Maria C. (John) of Sousa; her sister-in-law Maria Pavão of New Bedford; her grandchildren, Tricia, Emanuel, Jessica, Phillip, Erica, Ryan, Victoria, Jonathan, Selena, Nevin and Katia; and her great grandchildren, Aiden, Liam, Lucas, Isaac, Gabriel, April, Hazel, Cameron, Christian, Jayla, Jaelynn, Mia, Gianna, Adeline, Elliot and Jonah.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Aubertine-Lopes Funeral Home & Cremation (129 Allen St, New Bedford, MA 02740). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church (136 Earle St, New Bedford, MA 02746).
