Gerard A. Carreau Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerard A. Carreau Sr. (New Bedford, Massachusetts), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 13, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo F. Carreau, Sr. and Irene L. Carreau (Potvin); and his siblings, Leo Carreau, Robert Carreau, Kenneth Carreau, Alfred Carreau and Lillian Goulart.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine O. Carreau (Morin) of So; his children, Gerard A. Carreau, Jr. (late Ann M. Donnelly) of So, Dartmouth, Marcel J. Carreau (Stacy) of So, Yvonne M. Carreau of Fairhaven and Lori A. Souza (David) of Rochester; his siblings, Ronald Carreau (Darlene) of Middleboro, Shirley Starwalt of Missouri, Bernice Amarello of Acushnet and Donnalee Makuch of Mattapoisett; his grandchildren, Candy L. Murrell, Gerard A. Carreau III, Brett Harris, Christopher James Candido, Stephanie M. Candido, Taylor M. Amaral and Tyler James Souza; and his great grandchildren, Beyonce Grace, Larne Grace, Anthony J. Murrell, Thomas "Troy" Murrell, Jr., Gerard A. Carreau IV, Nora A. Harris, Quinn L. Harris, Reagan B. Hartley, Waylon P. Hartley and Joshua D. Fardy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Aubertine-Lopes Funeral Home (129 Allen St, New Bedford, MA 02740). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
