She was predeceased by: her husband Francisco A. Resendes; her parents, António Aguiar and Maria Resendes Aguiar; and her brother Manuel Aguiar. She is survived by: her children, Francisco M. Resendes (Fernanda Resendes) of Acushnet, António Dinis Resendes (Celestina Resendes) of Acushnet, Ibéria "Betty" Fagundes (Luis Fagundes) of Freetown, Teresa Resendes Tavares (Taylor Baldwin) of Marion and José Octávio Resendes of New Bedford; her grandchildren, Ryan Resendes, Nicole Souza, Philip Fagundes, Kaitlyn Fagundes, Meagan Resendes, Eric Tavares and Alex Tavares; her great grandchild Molly Resendes; and her siblings, Maria Resendes Aguiar, José Aguiar and António Aguiar. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
