He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Juana Colon Hernandez; his parents, Dionisio Torres Aviles and Arcadia Cruz Santana; his children, Luis Torres of New Bedford, Jorge Torres (Adelaida) of New Bedford, Wilfredo Torres (Ruby Martinez) of New Bedford, Mildred Lugo of New Bedford, Norma Torres Colon (Eduardo) of Puerto Rico and Bessie I. Rodriguez (Edwin) of New Bedford; and his sister Leonilda Torres Cruz of Ponce. He was also cherished by 43 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist in defraying funeral costs.
