He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Fortes and Laura Fortes (Correia); and his sister Adeline Britto. He is survived by: his wife Marqueza "Mackie" Fortes (Ramos) of New Bedford, MA; his daughters, Dyan Muller (Fortes) of Woodcliff Lake, NJ and Geraldine Fortes of New Bedford, MA; his grandchildren, Kelsey Muller Sun (Chris Sun) and Taylor Muller; and his siblings, Elizabeth "Betty" Youngblood, Margaret "Peggy" Vieira, Olivia "Vivie" Britto and Henry "Dick" Fortes. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
