He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Alfonso and Virginia Alfonso (Wheatly); and his stepdaughters, Kristine De Antonio and Irene LaPlante. He is survived by: his wife Sharlene A. Alfonso (Houghton) of New Bedford; his children, David M. Alfonso (Holly) of New Bedford and Jody Martel (Randy) of Virginia; his stepsons, Gerald Robinson of New Bedford and Joseph LaPlante (Marjorie) of New Bedford; and his siblings, Bernard Alfonso (Gail) of California and Joan Walker (John) of Dartmouth. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
