It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carmen R. Bartolomey of New Bedford, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 29, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Rafaela Marrero; and her sisters, Isabel Delrio and Lilian Alayon. She is survived by: her husband Luis G. Bartolomey, Sr.; her father Nicolas Alayon of Puerto Rico; her children, Luis G. Bartolomey, Jr. (Jo-Ann) of Dartmouth, Jonathan Bartolomey (Judian) of New Bedford and Carmen Melissa Sanchez (Rommel) of New Bedford; her brothers, Amador Alayon (Ana) of Puerto Rico, Luis Antonio Alayon (Rosita) of Puerto Rico, Angel Luis Alayon of New Bedford and Nicolas Alayon, Jr. (Digna) of Colorado; and her grandchildren, Elena, Sarah, Jonathan, Jr., Isaiah, Nathanael and Nehemiah Bartolomey. She is also survived by Her family includes her husband; her father.
