With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carmen Gillette of New Bedford, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 6, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlos Furtado and Maria Olivia Furtado (Cabral); and her sister Vivian Morgado. She is survived by: her husband Roy E. Gillette, Jr. of New Bedford; her children, Erik J. Gillette (Paula) of Loris and Jennifer M. Reed (Daniel) of Dartmouth; her sisters, Teresa "Terry" Arruda of New Bedford, Marie Almeida (Dartmouth) of So and Rose Robert (Mark) of Mattapoisett; her grandchildren, Farah Campos (Edgar), Valeri Gillette, Ian Reed (Hannah), Matthew Reed and Erin Reed; and her great grandchildren, Easton Campos, Austyn Campos and Vincent Reed. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
