He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Bier and Rose Bier (Green); and his daughter Karen Bier. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Bier (Hirschprung); his sons, Dr. Jonathan Bier (Jo-Ann) and Dr. Alan Bier (Elizabeth); and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Rachel, Rebecca, Maxine and Jennifer.
