It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benjamin Rose Jr. of New Bedford, Massachusetts, born in Newport, Rhode Island, who passed away on February 8, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Rose, Sr. and Barbara Rose (Oliveira); his daughter Wendy Rose; and his sibling Reynolds Rose. He is survived by: his children, Tracey L. Mabry (Walter) of New Bedford, Melissa Leighton of New Bedford, Justine Rose of New Bedford, Benjamin Rose, III of New Bedford, Kevin Rose (Lisa) of New Bedford and Trevor Rose (Amy) of Connecticut; and his sisters, Kathleen Rose-Davis of Norwood, MA, Benita Rose-Monteiro (Eugene) of So, Dartmouth, Barbara Jean Rose-Silva and Joann Rose-Zaccari. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
