He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Cruz and Felicita Cruz (Mercado); and his siblings, Efrain Cruz, José Cruz, Froilan Cruz, Chego Cruz and Laura Lopez.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Cruz (Alma); his daughters, Elizabeth Cruz of Clearwater, Virginia Hernandez (José) of New Bedford and Marisa Cruz of Springfield, MA; his siblings, Ruben Cruz of Puerto Rico, Mengo Cruz of Puerto Rico, Pochy Cruz of Puerto Rico and Felicita Cruz of Puerto Rico; and his grandchildren, Michael, Karina, Alyssa and Soraya. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
