He was predeceased by: his parents, Luis Amancio Cabral and Ernestina Cabral (Pimentel); his mother-in-law Maria Sousa; and his siblings, João Cabral and Hirondina Cabral.
He is survived by: his wife Fatima S. Cabral (Sousa) of New Bedford; his daughters, Andrea Furtado (Walter) of Acushnet and Monica Medeiros (Steven) of New Bedford; his siblings, José Carlos Cabral of São Miguel, Tina Mota (Joe) of Fall River, Maria Santa Narciso (José) of São Miguel and Maria Vieira (José Manuel) of São Miguel; and his grandsons, Benjamin Furtado, Owen Medeiros, Jacob Furtado and Liam Medeiros. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, brothers in law and sisters in law.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Aubertine-Lopes Funeral Home & Cremation (129 Allen St, New Bedford, MA 02740). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church (136 Earle St, New Bedford, MA 02746).
