She was predeceased by: her spouse João Paiva; her parents, Alipio Lazaro and Aida Rodrigues Monteiro; her sister Maria Miguel; and her brother-in-law João.
She is survived by: her children, Laurinda Pires (João) of New Bedford, Maria Gomes (José) of New Bedford, Idalina Coutinho (José) of New Bedford, José Maria Paiva (Paula) of New York, Manuel Paiva (Natalia) of New York, Aida Curral (Candido) of New Bedford and Ana Rodrigues (Orlando) of New Bedford; her siblings, Antonio Lazaro (Maria) of Connecticut, Manuel Lazaro (Aldina) of Connecticut and Laurinda (Silva); her brother-in-law José Maria Miguel of Connecticut; her grandchildren, Manuel Pires, Christina Gonçalves, Pedro Coutinho, Lisa Bairos, Daniel Paiva, Hugo Coutinho, Rui Gomes, Suzanna Silva, Jimmy Rodrigues, Alexa Paiva and Kelsey Rodrigues; and her great grandchildren, Sadie Pires, Dylan Pires, Giuliana Bairos, Savannah Coutinho, Greyson Silva, Marcus Bairos, Siena Paiva, Mya Gonçalves, Gavin Gonçalves, Isaiah Coutinho, Elijah Coutinho, Raphael Coutinho, Amelia Gomes, Levi Gomes, Feyrah Silva and Alessia Paiva. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Aubertine-Lopes Funeral Home & Cremation (129 Allen St, New Bedford, MA 02740). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church (136 Earle St, New Bedford, MA 02746).
