It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ana Maria Sousa of New Bedford, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 23, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Alfredo Sousa; her parents, Joao Fonte and Maria Fonte (Fernandes); and her sibling Carminda Monteiro. She is survived by: her children, John Sousa (Tracy) of New Bedford, Maria Lucilia Carvalho of Taunton and Mana Vieira (Jose Vieira) of Lakeville; her son-in-law Dennis Figueiredo of Berkley, MA; and her siblings, Maria Fonte of Portugal and Germana Roda. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
