He was predeceased by: his wife Ana J. Barroso; his parents, Domingos Mendes Marques and Joaquina Barroso; and his brother Manuel Barroso (Ana). He is survived by: his children, Maria Julia Barroso (Leonel Jorge) of New Bedford and Jose Manuel Barroso (Margo "Kandy" Barboza) of New Bedford; his grandchildren, Cow, Rusty and Diamond; and his brothers, Joao Barroso (Maria) and Antonio Barroso (Maria). He is also survived by siblings; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
