He is survived by: his wife Susan Gilder Stimpson; his grandson John Stimpson (Carolyn) of Princeton, MA; his great grandchildren, John, Chris and Sam; his grandchild Peg Gaillard (Tom) of Boston, MA; his great grandchildren, Wallis, Charlie and Katharine; his granddaughter Ginny Vatcher (Steve) of Kennebunk, ME; his great grandchildren, Jack, Teddy, Annie and Charlotte; his grandson Ted Stimpson (Nicole) of Weston, MA; his great grandchildren, Maggie, Ellie and Alex; and his brother John Williams Stimpson (Trish) of Lakeville, CT.
