It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Satz Kaplan of Needham, Massachusetts, born in Poughkeepsie, New York, who passed away on October 27, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Satz and Louis Satz; and her brother-in-law Paul. She is survived by: her husband Jay Kaplan; her sister Naomi; her sons, Peter (Mary), Bill (Catherine) and Jim (Caroline); her grandchildren, Drew, Ben, Frances, Lily and Hattie; her nieces and nephews, SaraJane, Ed Goldberg, Richard and Bonnie Lapidus; her friend Jay of Washington's Snake River; her granddaughter Caroline; and also Sue.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Temple Beth Shalom (670 Highland Ave, Needham, MA 02494). A shiva was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
