It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Samuel Stern of Needham, Massachusetts, who passed away, on May 28, 2023. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Stern and Karolina Stern; and his stepfather David Schneebalg (Ruth). He is survived by: his son Alan (Lori Tenser); his grandchildren, Reuben, Jeremy and Celia Stern; and his brother Peter (Julie). He is also survived by her children and grandchildren.

Donations can be made to the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, the Boston Bullpen Project, or Newbridge on the Charles Scholarship Fund.

“I was so sorry to learn of Sam's death. I had the honor of meeting and getting to know him in the 1990s. He graciously shared with me parts of his life story, which he allowed me to tell in "The Triumph of Wounded Souls." He shared more--his thoughts and feelings and interests. Sam was brilliant, kind, and generous. I know that he was so proud of his family; his three grandchildren gave great meaning to his survival. May all his family find comfort in warm memories of very special Sam.”
