It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Onita O'Neal of Needham, Massachusetts, born in Moundville, Alabama, who passed away on August 27, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her son Eddie S. O'Neal; her parents, John Winston Flanagan and Bertha Lee Flanagan; her siblings, John Flanagan and Juanita Robertson; and her grandparents, Henry and Eva Lou Hall.

She is survived by: her children, Vallerie F. O'Neal-Thorpe of Roxbury, Nancye C. O'Neal of Chelsea, VT and Micheal D. O'Neal of Needham; her grandchildren, Christoher E. Thorpe and Lauren N. Thorpe-Reed; her great grandchild Zadia A. Thorpe; and also Eddie S. O'Neal. She is also survived by grandchildren and friends.
