With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mark Alden Sidell of Needham, Massachusetts, born in Davenport, Iowa, who passed away on October 29, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Ruth Stevenson and Philip Alden Sidell; his sister Caroline Nijenberg; and his stepsister Ann Sidwell. He is survived by: his stepmother Lucy Townsend of Wellesley, MA; his brother Richard Sidell of Needham, MA; his stepsiblings, Judith Westerlund of Stockholm and David Sidell of Bretton Woods, NH; his half-sister Jennifer Ellis of Wellesley, MA.; and his nieces and nephews, Philip Sidell, Kate Morton, Maria Westerlund, Annika Viklund, Erik Westerlund, Libby Cornelssen and Jack Ellis. He is also survived by his many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints or Stone Senior Living in Newton.
