He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Monje and Catherine Brugge Monje; his wife Dottie; and his siblings, Richard, Gloria and Frank.
He is survived by: his daughters, Wendy DePorter and Penny Monje; his grandchildren, Katie, Josh, Kiley and Eilish; his great grandchildren, Charlotte and Beckett; and his pet Zara. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
