With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald P. Heffernan of Needham, Massachusetts, born in Salem, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 1, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret B. Heffernan (Mulligan) and John E. Heffernan; his siblings, John, Paul (Dorothy) and Jane Heavey; and his brothers-in-law, David R. Lynch and Robert Popeo.
He is survived by: his children, Karen, Matthew Heffernan and Pamela Collings (John); his grandson Zachary Van Dyke (Sarah Moniz); his children, Robert, David Collings, Shohum and Shirsho Sarkar; his sisters, Sheila Dankese of South Weymouth and Brenda Popeo of Needham; and his siblings-in-law, Michael Heavey of Walpole and Esther Heffernan (John) of Monterey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
