She was loved and cherished by many people including: her friend Charlie; her husband Steve; her son Steve; her daughter-in-law Lily; her grandson Christopher Kaapuni; and her parents, Ernest Kaapuni and Mildred Kaapuni of Orlando, Florida..

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in Charlie's name to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research at Lustgarten.org.
