He was predeceased by: his parents, James Anderer and Rita Anderer of West Roxbury. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Anderer; his daughters, Carrie Anderer (Nathan Franck) of Brooklyn, NY and Jillian Curley (Stephen Curley) of Norfolk, MA; his granddaughter Ellen Grace Curley; and his siblings, Jay Anderer of Norwood, MA, Lynne Laham of Estero, FL, Ricky Anderer of Randolph, MA, Sue Brideau of West Roxbury, MA, Nancy Pongratz of Boston, MA and Mary Beth Giosi of Dedham, MA.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Eaton Funeral Home (1351 Highland Ave, Needham, MA 02492). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Church (1360 Highland Ave, Needham, MA 02492). The military honors was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the St. Joseph Cemetery (990 Lagrange St, Boston, MA 02132).

Donations in Barry's name may be made to Tedy's Team (https://tedysteam.org) , which raises awareness of stroke and heart disease while supporting survivors on their journey, giving them the means for a comeback.
