He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Black and Bernice Black (Cameron); his wife Evelyn Marie Black (Seavey); his siblings, Phylis Bustin, Margery Haynes (Donald) and Albert Black (Dot); and his brother-in-law Harry Seavey (Junie).
He is survived by: his children, John Black of Oxford, James Black of Washington, NH and Cindy Maguire (Paul) of Natick; his grandchildren, Jillian, Jennifer, Jonna Black, Shelby, Spencer Black, Camryn Leiser and Collin Maguire; and his great grandchild Fiona Leiser.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home (4 Park St, Natick, MA 01760). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Natick Elks Members Lounge (95 Speen St, Natick, MA 01760). A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at the Dell Park Cemetery (163 Pond St, Natick, MA 01760).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Natick Elks Lodge, P.O. Box 381, Natick, MA 01760, or the Natick Firefighters Association, 22 East Central Street, Natick, MA 01760.
