He was predeceased by: his siblings, Fred, Cyril Oxford and Winifred Whittemore. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Elizabeth Oxford (Tibbetts); and his children, Susan R. Oxford (Warren Craig), Lewis A. Oxford, Jr. and Judith Ann Oxford (Matthew Montgomery). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Lew's honor to The Home for Little Wanderers, Perkins School for the Blind, or Habitat for Humanity, three charities that Lew regularly supported.
