He was predeceased by: his spouse Elizabeth M. Gallagher (Santospago); and his parents, Thomas Gallagher and Marion Gallagher (Noel). He is survived by: his sister Dorothea Griffin. He is also survived by nephews and nieces and all their children.

For many years he participated in the "Walk for the Hunger" in lieu of flowers donations would be greatly appreciated to The Walk for Hunger, 145 Border Street, East Boston, MA 02128.
