He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Dyke and Matilda Van Dyke; his brother Leon; and his children, Maria Watson and Richard Guerin.
He is survived by: his sister Nannette McDonald; his stepsister Ann Hanss; his children, Norman M. Van Dyke, Jr., Tina Twiggs, Kerry Reilly and Dianne Campbell; and his friend Marilyn Morris. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
