With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Mary Hanagan of Nahant, Massachusetts, born in Lynn, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 1, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Henry E. "Red" Hanagan; her parents, William Murphy and Geraldine Murphy (Cotter); and her brother William "Billy" Murphy. She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Hanagan (Lisa Knott) of Arlington, VA, Margaret "Peggy" Padalino (Frank) of New Smyrna Beach, FL, William "Bill" Hanagan (Gail) of Nahant, Accra, Ghana, Debra "Debi" Ford (John) of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Mary Burgess (Don) of Lynn, Susan Kiley (John) of Lynn and Erin Barrett (Steve) of Swampscott; her grandchildren, Antje, Katrina, Jonathan, Kristin, Alexandra, Dominic, Richard, Bridget, Nora, Allison, Ryan, Helena, Samantha, Jake, Stephen and William; her great grandchildren, Jack and Lily; her sister-in-law Clare Slaven of Mashpee; and her sister Geraldine "Sis" Higgins. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
