He is survived by: his spouse Diane Alice Desmond (Cullinane); his parent Josephine Frances Desmond (Regan); his children, Joseph III, Kacey Desmond, Julie Cadigan, Richard Cadigan, Patrick Desmond, Ellen Desmond, Kellie Frary and Robert "Skip" Frary; his friend Eileen Fagan; his grandchildren, Sarah, Michael, Sean, Richard, Joseph IV, Kate, Lucy, Abigail and Matthew; his sister Josephine (Joseph Ostroski); his sister-in-law Sandra Desmond; and his nephews, Daniel, David and Michael.
