Viola I. Black Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Viola I. Black of Montague, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 17, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Herman Williams and Myrtle Williams (Wentworth); her husband Harold Black; her children, Pamela Williams (Larry) of Largo, Wendy Farley (John) of Montague, Hal Black (Edith) of Montague and Barry Black (Lori) of Montague; her siblings-in-law, Lillian Black of Taunton and Roger Schultz of Deland, FL.; her niece Tina Brown; and also Mark Brussel. She was also cherished by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Viola Irene (Williams) Black was born in the throes of the Great Depression (November 11, 1930) and passed from this life early in the morning of October 17, 2020 following seven months of isolation from friends and family imposed due to fears of the current pandemic.
Expressions of affection in lieu of flowers are suggested in Viola's name to the North Leverett Baptist Church, 70 North Leverett Road, Leverett, MA 01054.
