It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Claire York of Montague, Massachusetts, born in Québec, Québec, who passed away at the age of 83, on April 26, 2023. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Emond and Lauretta Emond; her husband Rodney York; her son-in-law Walter Joseph Portayla; and her siblings, Joe Emond, Irene Demers, Sylvia Miller, Althea Dawson, Jeannie Jones, Theresa Emond, Norman Emond, John Emond and Gary Emond.
She is survived by: her daughters, Marsha Potyrala of Montague and Nancy Stafford (Brian) of Montague; her grandsons, Aaron Stafford (Rilee) and Ethan Stafford (Nicole); her great grandchild Carson Stafford; and her brothers, Lester Emond, Paul Ostendorf and Bobby Emond. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
