It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John C Benedict of Monson, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 21, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius T. and Evelyn. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Benedict (Shields); his stepchildren, Mathew McLeod (Kayla) of Stafford and Jennifer McLeod-Herrick of Monson; his siblings, Teri Sonier (Paul) of Shrewsbury, Larry G. Benedict (Susan) of Worcester and Jay T. Benedict (Patricia) of Northborough; his grandchildren, Eva Herrick, Mathew, Kourtney and Michael McLeod; and his friend Jody Szczepanek of Monson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members in Maine and many friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lombard Funeral Home (3 Bridge St, Monson, MA 01057). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at the Hillcrest Cemetery (32 Wilbraham Rd, Monson, MA 01057).
