It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan R Shields of Monson, Massachusetts, born in Ware, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 5, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas L. Shields; and her siblings, Jeanne Moore and Earl Swanson. She is survived by: her children, Dennis T. Shields (Susan), Brian T. Shields (Claudette), Thomas P. Shields, Christine E. Martin (Ivan), Kathy J. Benedict (John) and Cynthia R. Shields; her grandchildren, Jennifer Herrick, Mathew McLeod (Kayla), Jared Shields, Evan Shields (Alison) and Saoirse Martin; and her great grandchildren, Eva Herrick, Mathew, Kourtney and Michael McLeod. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
