He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Melvin Gilbert and Esther Gilbert (Pease); his wife Marilyn (Bardsley); and his children, Linda M. Stuart of California, Debra L. Gilbert of Monson, Wayne E. Gilbert (Terry) of South Hadley, Mark T. Gilbert of Wales and Eric M. Gilbert (Wendy Sears) of Palmer. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
