He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Barry and Albina Barry (Novotny); his granddaughter Téa Branché; his siblings, Richard Barry, Rosalie Zuraw and Doris Theodore; and also Susan Gemme-Crawford.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tamara Gemme-Crawford of Springfield, Holly Crawford of Monson, Rebecca Barry of Indian Orchard and Darcy Barry of Monson; his daughter-in-law Christine Crawford of Westfield; his close friend Maureen "Mort" Cote; and his grandchildren, Joshua McCarthy, Lacey Roy (Ian), Brittany Crawford, Jordan Blanchard (Holly Lynch), William Crawford III (Elaine), Chelsey Welch (Evan) and Helaynah Barry. He is also survived by five great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Hospital for Children or Make a wish Foundation.
